In March 2015, HP commissioned five Australian directors to create short films based on the theme 'Bend The Rules'. These directors received AU$3,000 and HP’s brand new Spectre x360 Convertible laptop – a stunning, ultra-slim convertible PC with a 360° hinge.
The five films are being judged by a public vote, with the winner receiving AU$2,000 and a Spectre x360 Convertible. The films will also be judged by a judging panel convened by HP, with the winner receiving AU$8,000 and a Spectre x360 Convertible.
In April the films were shown on the big screen at an exclusive HP campaign launch event in Sydney, Australia, in front of media, and other special guests.
HP - Bend The Rules
Millennials are the first true digital generation. They’re always on, always asynchronously connected. Technology plays a huge role in their lives and allows seamless integration between their work and social lives – they work hard and play hard!
They have access to unprecedented tools to create, consume and distribute content.
But they’re also a misunderstood generation – with the media often portraying them as self-entitled, self-obsessed and lazy. HP believes that this is wrong – that millennials have a desire to change the world in a meaningful way and leave a lasting social impact.
Bend the Rules is about millennials being creative, doing things differently, and in turn changing society’s perceptions of their generation…
