Tristemente, y con ningún caso previo en mi familia, ella está sufriendo de Alzheimer. Todos estamos sufriendo en realidad. Mi última visita fue particularmente difícil y me llevó a investigar un poco más sobre esta condición, esta enfermedad, como sea que quieras llamarla.
Descubrí que, no solamente es extremadamente simple ser "apto" para tener la enfermedad, sino que también es muy común experimentar varias situaciones que nos pueden alertar en una etapa muy temprana de nuestra vida, a partir de los 30, lo cual fue no solo horrible por decir lo mínimo, sino que tremendamente aterrador.
Es increíble como todo puede cambiar de un segundo al otro. Esa fue mi razón para participar, esa fue, por absoluta coincidencia, una excelente oportunidad para brindar un poco de luz a algo tan común pero silencioso como el Alzheimer.

The whole concept of the video was born because of my mother...
Sadly, and with no prior cases in the family, she's suffering from Alzheimer. We are all suffering actually. My last visit was particularly hard and that led me to investigate a little bit more about this condition, this disease, whatever you want to call it.
I've found out that, not only it's extremely simple to be potentially "able" to have Alzheimer, but it's also very common to experience several situations that can alert us in a very early stage of our life, starting at the age of 30, which was not only dreadful to say the least, but also staggeringly scary.
It's amazing how everything can change from one second to the next. That was my reason to participate, that was, by absolute coincidence, an excellent opportunity to shine a light on something as "common" but quiet as the Alzheimer's disease.
