Abandoned Spirit House Films' 'Rhyme for Reason' profiles Mike McGuire, AKA Hermit of the Woods, a rapper, slam poet, producer, audio engineer and Music & Culture professor from Halifax, Nova Scotia who is both the foremost authority on the history of the city's hip-hop scene and an active participant in it. The film explores the breadth of his knowledge and experience as he makes a case for the genre's potential for education and the promotion of positive social change.
