Our goal was to produce a very short film (:30) that captures a single moment in the city of Philadelphia, giving the viewer a sense of being there: both the physicality of the place, and its deeper emotional quality. By limiting ourselves to this 1/2 minute, and one hour of shooting, we wanted to distill the essence of the city into a single impression. Like a line drawing on a napkin. We let everything happen "in-camera", without processing or grading in post, so the light, reflections, gestures and movement of the city could tell its own story.
