I was inspired by the different and often conflicting emotions that are expressed in the track. At first it fools you into thinking it’s a love song . A minute later, a belittling Screamin’ Jay Hawkins style laugh comes in and makes me think that maybe the line, “If you just gimme all your love”, is not a request but rather an ultimatum and threat. For me, the protagonist of the song takes on both the role of the tender lover and aggressor.

I took the same approach in the film by unraveling a story slowly, teasing the viewer and only revealing little pieces of information at a time so the viewer is constantly questioning the role of each character in the film.
